A small place out west
At the end of Thorupstrandvej, right down by the beach, you’ll find Thorupstrand Fiskehus. Here, you can dine – indoors, outdoors, or take away. You can purchase fresh fish and delicious specialties such as homemade fish cakes, pan-fried plaice fillets, sourdough bread, and homemade remoulade.
We exclusively offer gently caught fish on our menu and in our display. This means the fish are caught using gear that is gentle on the seabed, spawning grounds, and fish themselves. This contributes to a diverse ecosystem, sustainable fish stocks, and a wonderfully fresh product with a low carbon footprint.
When you shop with us, you support coastal fishing, which ensures local jobs and the preservation of cultural heritage.
Thorupstrand Fiskehus and the Residents’ Association, as tradition dictates, invite everyone to a cozy and atmospheric Midsummer’s Eve celebration on the beach.
Everyone is welcome, and the event is free of charge.
